#006: Misery

The start of this song with the guitar strum always reminds me of Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere"... ("I was toting my pack along the dusty Winnemucca road"). Anyway, if you were only listening to the sound of the song, you might not think that Misery was as miserable as its lyrics imply. The lyrics are really pretty depressing, but the tune of the song keeps the overall tone light, which is pretty common in most of the Beatles' songs.

The lettering of this piece was inspired by some type that I saw, and even though it was simpler than some of the other pieces, it was still a bit tricky getting the slant of the letters parallel.
